OLAF UNVERZART WINS LEAD AWARD

In the category "Reportage Series of the Year", Olaf Unverzart recently won Gold for his series "Deutsche Szenen" (German Scenes) published in 34 parts in Zeit Magazin (1/2009 through 33/2009).

What separates the Lead Awards from others, is that one cannot nominate work for consideration; an independent industry jury of 120 searched through every installment of around 420 German magazine and newspaper titles and rated these into four main, and 20 sub categories.  Those works nominated and with special mentions were first exhibited without their awards for two weeks to the public.

The event awards the biggest names of the German art and photography scene, such as Erwin Wurm, Karl Lagerfeld, Peter Lindbergh, Daniel Josefsohn and of course, Olaf Unverzart.
