Timm Kölln

Timm concentrates primarily on black and white photography and is deeply inspired by classic photo journalism and portraiture. His work is best known for his extraordinary perspective on cycle racing. Over the previous five years Timm has traveled to most of the classic races and grand tours on the cycling calendar to complete his encyclopedic project "The Peloton", an impressive portrait series of this generation of active cyclists. "The Peloton" will be published as a book in October 2010. He is one of the distinctive contributors to acclaimed Rouleur Magazine as well as a regular contributor to wide-spread European print media such as El País, L'Equipe, NuSport, Red Bulletin. Recently Timm shot part of the upcoming SS collection for New Zealand cult technical brand Icebreaker. Timm spent his formative years in Barcelona, started his working life as a photographer's assistant becoming a freelance photographer in 2001. He lives in Berlin.
